How Are the Estates of Aliens (Non-Citizens) Handled Under Florida Law in an Intestate Estate?
A resident alien or non-resident alien has the same rights as a U.S. citizen when it comes to their inheritance rights under the Florida Probate Code. Section 732.1101 states “Aliens shall have the same rights of inheritance as citizens.”
